Senior ER Specialist FTC Job working in a hybrid way as part of the HR Advisory team at EMIS.

Working remotely, you will become part of the fantastic HR Advisory team at EMIS. In this role you will provide high level ER advice to department managers, and staff, whilst leading on high-risk complex case work. Dealing with disciplinary, grievances, performance and absence management, it will be your responsibility to provide suitable advice to reach a fair resolution. You will also be involved in change management initiatives, including acquisitions, mergers, TUPE, restructure and redundancy. Collaboration is key at EMIS, as the Senior ER Specialist you will work closely and support the HR Advisory team with policy and management toolkits projects, whilst maintaining high standards at all times.

Transforming your career within the HR Department at EMIS, you will work on high-risk and complex cases across the business. Providing guidance to line managers is a vital part of this job, as a Senior ER Specialist you will work with internal stakeholders to explain risks, guide managers and provide alternative options.

Senior ER Specialist job working remotely - this role is a fixed term contract for 6 months.

What you’ll do

As Senior ER Specialist your key duties will include:

  • Provide expert ER advice to business leaders, managers, and employees on highly complex sensitive ER issues such as: absence, grievances, disciplinary, appeals, absence and performance management
  • Provide specialist expertise, appropriate legal advice, and interpretation on employment legislation for critical and complex cases
  • Provide support on change management and consultationincluding business changes, redundancies, restructure, and TUPE transfers.
  • Rewrite ER policy and procedures, as well as reviewing documentation and making changes where necessary.
  • Design and deliver manager workshops on employee rleations

Who you’ll be

We want to make sure you’re set for success so the key skills we’re looking for in the role are below. We know not everyone ticks all the boxes and we’ll provide training on some of the areas if you’re the right person for the role.

  • Ideally CIPD qualified or equivalent
  • Excellent working knowledge of Employment law and proven application of being able to apply this practically in a workplace situation, including advising on redundancy, restructure, and TUPE.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to manage high volumes of workload at any one time whilst adhering to company policies.
