Personal Care Teaching Assistant

We are currently seeking a Personal Care Teaching Assistant to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a warm and inclusive school based in Croydon. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about supporting pupils with special educational needs (SEN), particularly those requiring additional personal care support.

As a Personal Care Teaching Assistant, you will be providing tailored support to students with a range of learning needs, helping them access the curriculum and develop both academically and personally. Key Responsibilties:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with SEN

Assist with personal care tasks including toileting and hygiene support

Support the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery

Monitor pupil progress and help adapt materials to individual needs

Work collaboratively with the SENCO and wider school staff

The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a school setting

Comfortable with personal care duties

A positive, patient, and empathetic attitude

A strong desire to build a career in education and training

Ideally based in or able to commute to Croydon
