🌙 Shift: Night Shift - Monday to Thursday 10am to 6am, Friday 8pm to 3am

Stafforce Recruitment are recruiting for a Production Supervisor to join a well-established FMCG manufacturing site on a permanent night shift. This role is ideal for an experienced production leader who is confident managing teams in a high-volume, fast-moving food production environment while maintaining strict standards in safety, quality, and efficiency.

The Role

As the Night Shift Production Supervisor, you will take full ownership of your shift, ensuring production runs safely, efficiently, and in line with FMCG food manufacturing standards. You will be responsible for delivering daily production targets, maintaining food safety compliance, managing labour costs, and driving continuous improvement across your area.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can motivate teams, manage performance, and ensure the site consistently delivers right-first-time production in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the shift to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant food production operations
Ensure full adherence to food safety standards, hygiene regulations, and site procedures
Deliver the daily production plan, ensuring shift performance achieves >90% conformance
Monitor line performance, throughput, and capacity to maximise productivity
Take ownership of quality performance, investigating complaints and non-conformances
Drive a right-first-time culture to minimise waste and rework
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs
Manage labour planning, staffing levels, and absence management
Conduct return-to-work interviews and support employee wellbeing
Develop and coach production team members to improve skills, performance, and engagement
Lead shift communication meetings, reviewing KPIs across safety, quality, delivery, and cost
Ensure the factory environment meets the high hygiene and operational standards required in food manufacturing

What We're Looking For

Essential

Experience supervising teams within FMCG or food manufacturing
Strong knowledge of production processes in a high-volume manufacturing environment
Understanding of food safety, quality standards, and hygiene requirements
Experience managing and motivating teams within a fast-paced production environment
Knowledge of process improvement and cost control
Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills
IT literateDesirable

Experience working in a unionised manufacturing environment
Formal qualification in manufacturing, production, or engineering
