Job Title: Care Team Leader

Location: Lancaster

Salary: £29,640 per annum (£15.00 per hour)

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: 38 hours per week

Shift Pattern:8:00am - 6:00pm on a two-week rolling rota

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday

  • Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

About the RoleWe are currently recruiting a compassionate and experienced Care Team Leader to join the team a purpose-built luxury care home in Lancaster. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key leadership role within a professional, supportive care environment.

As a Care Team Leader, you will oversee day-to-day care delivery, ensuring residents receive exceptional care tailored to their individual needs. You will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of care staff, supporting with medication management, and ensuring the home runs smoothly in the absence of the management team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the care team, ensuring all shifts are effectively coordinated and managed

  • Supervise care delivery, providing coaching, guidance, and on-shift leadership

  • Ensure accurate and timely handovers, escalating any concerns appropriately

  • Manage rotas to ensure appropriate staffing and skill mix

  • Support medication management, including administration and recording

  • Facilitate team meetings, provide performance feedback, and assist with staff development

  • Maintain high standards of person-centred care and promote dignity, respect, and safety at all times

What We’re Looking For

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)

  • Previous experience in a care setting with a strong understanding of elderly and dementia care

  • Proven leadership experience, including supervising and mentoring staff

  • Confident in medication administration and following safety protocols

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Reliable, organised, and committed to delivering quality care
