Brief Description

We are looking for an experienced Early Years Professional to join a vibrant and friendly team in an outstanding nursery in Vauxhall to help oversee the day to day running of the setting as a Deputy Manager.

Key Responsibilities

* Assist in the overall management and administration of the nursery.

* Motivate and lead a team of nursery staff, ensuring high standards of care and education.

* Cover nursery rooms as needed to maintain staff-to-child ratios.

* Conduct regular supervisions and appraisals for staff, providing support and professional development opportunities.

* Understand and manage the nursery budget effectively.

* Oversee and ensure compliance with Ofsted inspections and regulations.

* Implement and promote the Curiosity Approach in daily activities.

* Build strong relationships with parents, staff, and the community.

* Work collaboratively in a family-run nursery environment.

* Manage the nursery with a capacity of 55 children and 18 staff members.

Requirements

* Minimum Level 3 qualification in childcare or early years education.

* Up-to-date training in First Aid, Safeguarding Child Protection, and Food Hygiene.

* Current and clean DBS check.

* At least 2 years of experience as a Deputy Manager in the same setting.

* Proactive and able to inspire and motivate the team.

* Outgoing personality with the ability to build strong relationships with parents and the team.

* Understanding of the Curiosity Approach.

* Willingness to grow and develop professionally, with aspirations of becoming a Nursery Manager.

Working Hours

* 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Salary
