We are currently seeking a dedicated Nursery Assistant to join a friendly and nurturing nursery setting in the Bristol area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about early years education to become part of a supportive and professional team.

This nursery provides a safe, caring, and inclusive environment where children are encouraged to explore, play, and grow. The team is committed to nurturing each child’s individuality and supporting their emotional, social, and cognitive development.

As a Nursery Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the daily care, learning, and development of children. You’ll assist in planning and delivering engaging activities, help maintain a safe and clean environment, and work closely with colleagues and parents to ensure each child’s needs are met.

• Supervise and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children
• Support children’s learning and development through play and structured activities
• Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate learning experiences
• Help with feeding, nappy changing, and toileting routines
• Keep the nursery clean and organized, including sanitizing toys and equipment
• Observe and track children’s progress, sharing information with senior staff and parents
• Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and team members
• Promote children’s emotional, physical, and social development
• Follow all safeguarding, health & safety, and hygiene procedures
• Set up and pack away resources and play areas as needed
• Encourage positive behaviour and help children develop social skills
• Participate in staff meetings and training sessions

• A caring, reliable, and enthusiastic individual
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• An interest in early years education and child development
• Previous experience in a childcare setting is beneficial but not essential
