We are currently looking for a Labourer/General Operative for our client based in Peterlee

Job Type - Full time Monday to Friday #removed#, this role is starting as temporary with a view to transferring permanent.

Pay - Weekly £14.00-£15.00ph based on experience, plus overtime

Candidates must have Forklift Counterbalance license

About the role - We are looking to recruit a reliable Labourer/general operative to support with the day to day operations by maintaining high housekeeping, safety and site standards across the workshop and yard. This is a hands on role suited to someone with a strong work ethic who takes pride in keeping a manufacturing environment clean, organised and running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
Operating forklift truck counterbalance
Carry out general site maintenance as requested by management, including basic plumbing tasks
Empty wheelie bins around the shopfloor
Assist with product packing and preparation for dispatch
Undertake delivery and collection duties
Carry out painting and general upkeep of the facility, including offices, floors and walkways

Skills and experience
Fork lift truck license required

Full driving license

Good understanding of health and safety and housekeeping standards
Practical, hands on approach with a flexible attitude to work
Basic maintenance skills desirable
Previous experience in a maintenance or labouring role
