Day-to-day of the role:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and informative lessons in Design and Technology.
• Foster a creative classroom environment that encourages students to experiment and innovate with various materials and technologies.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure academic and practical skill development.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technological advancements and incorporate modern techniques into the curriculum.
• Collaborate with other teaching staff to integrate DT projects with other subjects, enhancing interdisciplinary learning.
• Manage and maintain DT equipment and resources, ensuring a safe and organized workshop environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE in Design and Technology or a related field.
• Experience in teaching DT at various educational levels.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using DT equipment and technology.
• Ability to motivate students and foster a positive learning environment.
