About the Role:
Prospero Teaching are seeking a committed and supportive SEND Teaching Assistant to work within a friendly primary school in Maghull. The school provides excellent provision for pupils with additional needs and is looking for a TA who can offer consistency, patience and high-quality support.

You will support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, such as Autism, ADHD, Speech and Language difficulties, or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The role includes both one-to-one support and small group interventions, helping pupils engage with learning, regulate their emotions and develop essential skills.

Responsibilities:

Support pupils with SEND in a primary school environment

Work closely with the class teacher to deliver adapted learning

Implement strategies from EHCPs and individual behaviour plans

Encourage independence, confidence and positive routines

Promote emotional wellbeing and strong communication skills

Maintain a safe, calm and inclusive learning space

Essential Requirements:

Experience supporting children with SEND

A patient, nurturing and flexible approach

Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

Relevant qualifications (desirable but not essential)

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
