Earlsferry House Care Home is a charming, converted period home set beside the beach in the coastal town of Elie, Fife, with stunning views across Elie Bay. The home provides Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite care for up to 26 residents in a warm and welcoming environment, where its smaller, close knit setting allows you to build meaningful relationships and make a real difference every day as part of a supportive team.
Senior Care Assistant
- £14.50 per hour
- Full time and part time contracts available
- Pension, Paid PVG, Uniform provided
- 5.6 weeks annual leave based on a full time contract
Role Overview
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in leading the care team and supporting the delivery of high quality, person centred care. You will coordinate shifts, lead by example and ensure residents receive compassionate, dignified support in a safe and homely environment.
You will assist residents with daily routines including personal care, mobility and mealtimes, while promoting independence and wellbeing. You will support medication administration, maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning and risk assessments. You will build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues, and respond calmly and effectively to any changes or emergencies.
What We Are Looking For
- SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is preferred
- SVQ Level 2 with willingness to work towards Level 3 will be considered
- Current medication competency is required
- Previous experience in a senior or leadership role
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, team focused approach
