Landscape Architect

Our client is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Landscape Architect to join their team. This role involves designing, planning, and delivering high-quality landscape projects across a variety of sectors. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing innovative design solutions, producing technical drawings, and supporting projects from concept through to completion. You will:

  • Produce detailed design drawings and technical construction packages for landscape projects
  • Prepare and manage schedules of work for tendering and construction purposes
  • Develop creative and practical planting plans in line with project requirements and environmental considerations
  • Support the tendering process, including preparing documentation and liaising with contractors and suppliers
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Conduct site visits, surveys, and assessments to inform design development
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations, standards, and planning requirements
  • Assist with project management, including timelines, budgets, and resource planning
  • Monitor project progress on-site and provide technical guidance where required
  • Contribute to concept design, presentations, and client meetings
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a Degree in Landscape Architecture
  • Have 3-5 years’ experience within a Landscape Architecture position
  • Have experience in producing detailed drawings and construction information
  • Have strong knowledge of planting design and horticulture
  • Have experience with tendering processes and contract documentation
  • Have proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or similar)
  • Have a good understanding of UK planning policies, environmental regulations, and sustainability principles
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Have strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Have experience in the building and property sectors
  • Have an adaptable and flexible approach to work
  • Be professional and client-focused

Working hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm or 8am to 5pm.

20 days holiday plus time off over Christmas, the last Friday before Christmas Eve until the 5th of January, plus BH. Parking on site and company pension.
