Field Service Engineer - Mobile Power & Compressed Air Systems

🔧 The Opportunity

An industry-leading provider of mobile energy and air solutions is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support their expanding customer base in the North of England. This is a hands-on, field-based role ideal for someone experienced in maintaining portable plant or power equipment.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

* Service and maintain a range of equipment including portable compressors, generators, pumps, lighting towers, energy storage systems, and hand tools.

* Conduct fault-finding and mechanical/electrical repairs at customer sites.

* Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and commission new equipment to meet client specifications.

* Coordinate with the service planning team to optimise weekly schedules.

* Complete accurate service documentation and maintain tools in safe, working order.

* Represent the company professionally on customer sites, upholding safety and quality standards.

✅ What We're Looking For

* Experience with at least some of the following:

* Portable air compressors

* Generators (diesel or petrol)

* Energy storage systems

* Lighting towers or mobile plant

* Strong diagnostic ability in both mechanical and electrical systems.

* Confident working independently in a mobile role and liaising directly with customers.

* Competent with digital reporting tools (Microsoft 365 familiarity a plus).

* Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
