You will be responsible for the development, coordination and approval for circa £15bn investment plans over the next 25 years in line with regulatory frameworks and company asset management strategy.

You will look to strengthen and enhance relationships with external partners including but not limited to local councils, the Environment Agency & Regulatory bodies as our client works collaboratively towards a better future. This is a challenging but rewarding opportunity, influential in shaping the medium-long term future strategy of a Wastewater business, ensuring the right investment approach is used to enhance the environment and improve customer service.

Although it would be an advantage, you need not have a background in Water or Wastewater. Applications from candidates outside of the sector, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas, are welcome. This role has a focus on investment strategy management, asset management and senior stakeholder management. Qualifications/experience

Degree educated with significant experience in water/wastewater or experience of investment strategy management in an asset management environment.
An excellent communicator with a natural ability to build credibility to influence senior stakeholders and build effective business cases for future investment.
Proactive, demonstrating a high level of initiative, having a positive can-do attitude, drive to make a significant difference, and ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders at home and in the office.
An assertive decision maker, able to analyse a wide range of quantitative and qualitative data to drive forwards the best investment strategy for the benefit of our customers and environmental enhancement.
Able to demonstrate a high level of numeracy and literacy, attention to detail, effective communication and presentation skills of business cases proposed

Responsibilities

Optimising the Wastewater Investment strategy to meet customer, stakeholder and company objectives ensuring an appropriate balance of risk, ensuring customer and stakeholder engagement is applied in business planning.
Working with the Executive Leadership Team, Senior Management Team and internal stakeholders to ensure buy in to the company's investment strategy, business plan, and Price Review submissions.
Ensuring the wholesale Price Review submissions comply with Ofwat requirements (including evidence and assurance) and fully represent client case for investment. Working with others to ensure timely and persuasive documentation.
Taking a lead role in the development of the wastewater enhancement plans as part of the next price review (PR24)
Managing, preparing, and presenting of material for internal or external audit and assurance, including resolution of escalated issues
Developing and implementing continuous improvement of the investment planning process, data, systems, and tools
