As a Clinical Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside both clinical and educational professionals in Sandy, providing essential support to students with a range of medical, emotional, and mental health needs. This role offers the chance to gain hands-on experience in the education and training sector while contributing to the well-being and academic progress of students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to students with various medical, emotional, and mental health challenges
  • Assist in delivering therapeutic interventions, in partnership with healthcare professionals and teaching staff
  • Offer both medical and emotional support to students during school hours, ensuring their well-being
  • Manage daily care needs, including administering prescribed medication (following appropriate guidelines)

About You

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or educational support role, ideally within a clinical or SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) setting
  • Knowledge of medical conditions and mental health challenges, and how they impact learning
  • A caring, empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with teachers, healthcare providers, and families
  • A genuine passion for working as a Clinical Teaching Assistant
  • Ability to commute to Sandy
