Elite Consult are recruiting for an experienced Air & Sea Freight Coordinator for our client based at the Freight Village at Newcastle Airport.

Our client, a dynamic and well-established freight forwarding company, is seeking an experienced Air & Sea Freight Coordinator to join their operations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated professional with strong knowledge of international freight movements, including both import and export by air and sea, and hands-on experience in customs clearance and declarations.

About the Role:

You’ll be responsible for coordinating international shipments from start to finish, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have excellent operational knowledge of freight forwarding, exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive approach to solving challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle end-to-end coordination of import and export shipments (air & sea)
• Prepare and submit customs declarations in accordance with HMRC and CDS requirements
• Liaise with carriers, shipping lines, airlines, and hauliers to ensure timely movement of goods
• Communicate with clients and overseas agents regarding documentation and shipment status
• Manage relevant documentation including bills of lading, airway bills, invoices, and packing lists
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and incoterms

Requirements:

• Proven experience in freight forwarding (air and sea, import and export)
• Strong working knowledge of customs clearance procedures and systems (e.g. CHIEF, CDS)
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities
• Strong IT skills
• A team player with a hands-on, solution-focused mindset
