Soldering Technician

42.5 hours per week
Monday - 06:00 - 17:45
Tues-Thurs - 06:00-17:15

(Please note, these work times are mandatory)

?13.27 p/h, with oppurtunities for overtime and long-term career progression.

We are currently recruiting experienced Soldering Technicians to work in a busy clean production environment on behalf of a global telecommunications company.

We are looking for people who can produce high quality precision work, have an eye for detail and are skilled in soldering.

Soldering Technicians will be responsible for performing precision soldering and assembly of electronic components in accordance with manufacturing standards, work instructions and quality requirements.
You may also be trained in fibre optic handling & splicing in their state-of-the-art Training School facilities based on site in Greenwich, SE London.

The duties may include, but are not limited to:

Soldering & Assembly; Perform through-hole and surface-mount (SMT) soldering
Hand solder wires, connectors, and terminals
Operate soldering irons
Install and secure components per technical drawings
Ensure compliance with IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610)
Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) procedures
The positions may also involve tasks such as manual handling, lifting of heavy objects, manual dexterity, and periods of sitting or standing
