Salary: £37,500 – £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 19:00 (with 1-hour break)

Additional: 1-in-6 Saturday mornings (after probation period)

We are now seeking an Experienced Logistics Operative to join our established Transport & Operations Team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in logistics or transport operations who is confident working in a fast-paced, operationally critical environment and ready to take on greater responsibility.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will play a key role within our busy Express department. You will be responsible for coordinating daily transport operations, acting as a central point of contact between drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure service excellence is consistently delivered.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Route planning, scheduling, and real-time operational decision-making
• Load planning, vehicle utilisation, and specification management
• Coordinating driver workloads and ensuring on-time completion of jobs
• Proactively managing operational issues and resolving problems under pressure
• Liaising with customers to provide updates and maintain high service standards
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry regulations

You will be expected to work with a high degree of autonomy while contributing to continuous improvement across operations.

This role requires proven experience. We are looking for someone who brings:

• Previous experience in logistics, transport, or freight operations

Experience within airfreight, express transport, or time-sensitive logistics is highly desirable.
