The Opportunity
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Group Risk Consultant to join a growing financial services team in Sittingbourne. This role is responsible for supporting the delivery and administration of Group Risk and Healthcare schemes, including market reviews, renewals, and client queries. You will liaise with clients and providers, produce reports and recommendations, and maintain accurate scheme records, helping to ensure a seamless and professional service.
This position is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of employee benefits and pensions.
Key Responsibilities
Market Review Exercises
- Gather scheme information from clients.
- Request and analyse quotations from providers and the wider market.
- Produce detailed reports and recommendations for clients.
- Instruct insurers to proceed, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
Scheme Renewal & Accounts
- Process annual accounts for scheme renewals.
- Review and issue accounts to employers for payment.
Client Support
- Respond to queries from scheme members and employers, both written and verbal.
- Provide guidance on current and potential schemes.
Sector Knowledge & Provider Liaison
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Group Risk and Healthcare sector developments.
- Liaise with providers to ensure access to accurate and current information.
Communication & Administration
- Communicate professionally with clients, providers, and advisers via phone, email, and letter.
- Obtain, verify, and issue invoices for PMI, GLA, GIP, Cash Plan, and Dental products.
- Maintain internal databases and company files, issuing final invoices to employers.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- CII qualifications in Financial Services and/or Pensions
- GR1 (Group Risk) qualification would be ideal
Knowledge & Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Experience in Financial Services and office environments
- Familiarity with the full process of market reviews and scheme renewals
- Experience producing reports and recommendations for Group Risk and Healthcare products
- Confident and professional telephone manner
