Building Safety and Compliance Manager

Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience

Location: Hybrid - Dorset (occasional travel to different sites across the Southwest)

Connect-IT Recruitment is partnered with a leading charitable organisation, and as part of the growth, they are looking for a Building Safety and Compliance Manager to join their team!

You will be responsible for managing the core compliance service for housing assets, and other corporate buildings, as well as day-to-day delivery of a first-class quality and value for money support.

About the Role:

* To lead on the effective management of statutory compliance.

* Ensuring all regulatory and legislative responsibilities for gas, electrical, asbestos, fire safety, legionella, and other associated mechanical and electrical services.

* To be the Building Safety Manager, responsible for all areas of safety and compliancy across the housing stock and other corporate buildings.

* To develop and maintain robust stock data and information with respect to statutory compliance information requirements.

* Oversee the management of fire safety and lift maintenance ensuring all stock meets the requirements for safety and compliance.

* Managing compliance related risks within the strategic risk register and preparing and monitoring a compliance risk register.

* Ensure that all contracts are managed effectively, with performance and safety being at the forefront of service delivery.

About You:

* Degree, HND or HNC in relevant property or building services related discipline.

* NBOSH or equivalent in a relevant discipline i.e. Fire Safety, Asbestos etc.

* Knowledge of statutory compliance across social housing and​ corporate buildings.

* Hands-on experience in Fire Safety and relevant Fire Safety certification.

* Experience of operating in a technical, property services environment, specifically in relation to construction, refurbishment, investment and compliance.
