Uniform Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher for a specialist school in Hayes. The school provides tailored education for pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), within a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils' cognitive, communication, and sensory needs

*

Lead and support a team of Teaching Assistants to provide consistent, high-quality education and care

*

Collaborate with therapists and other professionals to embed therapeutic and regulatory strategies into daily teaching

*

Use AAC systems (PECS, Makaton, and high-tech communication devices) to support learning and communication

*

Build strong relationships with families and contribute to EHCP reviews and annual assessments

*

Create a classroom culture that celebrates progress, no matter how small

What We're Looking For:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) with proven SEN experience (specialist school experience desirable)

*

Knowledge of communication systems, sensory-based learning, and positive behaviour support

*

Experience teaching pupils with complex needs including SLD, ASC, or PMLD

*

Strong leadership and teamwork skills with the ability to motivate and guide support staff

*

Compassion, resilience, and adaptability in a dynamic SEN environment

*

Enhanced DBS on the update service
