A well-respected primary school in Hertford is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their friendly and supportive Key Stage 1 team. Role Overview

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, planning engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and confidence, and supporting all pupils to make excellent progress. You will work closely with colleagues and parents to ensure every child achieves their potential.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver a creative, well-structured Year 1 curriculum in line with national standards.

Use a range of assessment strategies to track pupil progress and inform planning.

Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages good behaviour and a love of learning.

Work collaboratively with staff to develop effective teaching practices and support school initiatives.

Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and carers to foster strong home-school partnerships.

Candidate Profile

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) essential.

*

Experience teaching Year 1 or Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) desirable.

Strong understanding of phonics and early literacy and numeracy teaching methods.

Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
