Our client is seeking a talented individual who excels in both technical accounting and client advisory. You'll be instrumental in guiding their team, providing expert advice to clients, and ensuring the smooth operation of their accounting processes.

As a Senior Accountant, you'll be a key player in our client's collaborative environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Client Advisory & Problem-Solving: Meeting with clients, understanding their needs, and providing strategic advice to help them overcome financial challenges and achieve their business goals.
• Accounts Preparation & Review: Overseeing the preparation and review of accurate financial statements and reports for a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Team Leadership & Mentoring: You'll be a go-to resource for a team of five staff members. You'll help them navigate tax computations, review their management accounts, offer constructive feedback and guidance, assist with setting up new clients, and support them in streamlining their year-end processes. Junior accountants will regularly report back to you for guidance and problem-solving, benefiting directly from your expertise and mentorship.
• PA to Partner Designate: Working closely with the Partner Designate, you'll provide essential support, assisting with strategic projects and ensuring seamless communication within the team.
• Staff Development: Actively advising and supporting staff members with their day-to-day work and helping them resolve accounting or software-related problems.

• Qualifications: ACCA/ACA qualified with 5+ years of post-qualification experience in an accounting practice.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong command of Xero, Sage, Iris, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for advising clients and guiding team members.
• Problem Solver: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving complex accounting and client-related issues.
• Leadership Potential: A natural ability to advise, mentor, and inspire junior accountants.

• Competitive Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 per annum.
