As one of our design engineers you will work with the design and development team to drive forward new product development and existing product evolution strategies. The control and communication of the specification is paramount to this position so strong experience will be necessary. In addition, you will support Operations, Marketing and Sales teams across the business.

Main duties and responsibilities

Work as part of the core team - utilising your skills and experiences and that of the group to develop best in class products.

*

Understanding of BS 8888 and ensuring all drawings are in accordance with the standard.

*

Understanding of tolerance and dimensional control

*

To ensure validation & verification is undertaken, documented, and recorded.

*

To create Engineering Drawings and issue to the required standard

*

Proficiency in the use of Inventor and AutoCad

*

Ability to organise workload against competing demands

*

Taking verbal direction, sketches and calculations to produce final drawings

*

Establish, maintain and manage a strong working relationship with new and existing stakeholders, at all levels

*

To advise corrective action to shop floor queries and non-conformance

*

Produce installation and manufacturing documentation

*

Take ownership of assigned ECRs and NCRs, ensuring full cycle management

*

Good communication skills and attention to detail

*

To observe Health and Safety rules at all time

*

To carry out reasonable duties as requested

Qualifications/Experience/Skills

*

At least 1-year demonstrable experience of producing technical drawing to relevant standards as part of an active design department or function.

*

At least 1-year demonstrable experience of using 3D CAD, preferably Inventor
