Class 1 Shunter Driver (Nights) - Bolton
£19.08 per hour | £21.38 including holiday pay | Monday to Friday

CareerMakers Recruitment is currently looking for reliable and experienced Class 1 Shunter Drivers for night shifts in the Bolton area. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing, regular night work with a well-established logistics company.

Role Details

* Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday

* Start Times: Night shifts (exact start time may vary)

* Location: Bolton

* Pay Rate: £19.08 per hour

* Including Holiday Pay: £21.38 per hour

* Type of Work: Trailer shunting between depots and within the yard - no manual handling required

Key Responsibilities

* Safely move trailers within the yard and between on-site locations

* Carry out yard shunting operations and trailer swaps

* Complete vehicle checks and report any defects or issues

* Adhere to all site and health & safety procedures

* Maintain clear communication with the transport office and yard staff

Requirements

* Valid Class 1 (C+E) UK Driving Licence

* Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph

* Minimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience

* Previous shunting experience preferred but not essential

* Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
