Senior Project Engineer - HVDC Auxiliary Power Systems (Hybrid)

Join a growing team delivering complex auxiliary power systems for HVDC stations, including transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS, and cabling. You'll manage system design, equipment specification, cable routing, and coordination with stakeholders across departments, suppliers, and customers.

Key responsibilities:

Lead technical delivery of auxiliary power systems
Prepare SLDs, load calculations, equipment specifications
Oversee supplier reviews, FATs, and site supervision
Align designs with grid codes and customer requirements
About you:

Strong technical background with leadership experience
Experience in auxiliary power systems, selectivity studies, or LV installation/commissioning
Familiarity with Grid Code, National Grid, and SSE standards
Skilled communicator, fluent in English
Comfortable working in international teams
Location: Hybrid (2-3 days in Glasgow or Birmingham office); some UK and international travel required.
