Salary: £33,880 per annum

We are partnering with a respected housing association in the Midlands who are looking to appoint an HR Advisor on an 8-month FTC. This is a hybrid role requiring travel across Staffordshire and some travel into Shropshire, and offers a salary of £33,880 plus a car allowance.

The ideal candidate will hold a CIPD Level 5 qualification or have equivalent experience.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide proactive, customer-focused HR support to managers across a full range of employee relations matters, including investigations, disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance
  • Manage ER casework from start to finish, ensuring accurate documentation, timely progression and appropriate escalation of complex cases
  • Support organisational change activities such as consultation, redeployment and redundancy, offering clear guidance to managers throughout
  • Partner with colleagues across the People team to deliver effective recruitment, onboarding and job evaluation processes, ensuring fair and consistent selection
  • Maintain accurate HR data and reporting through the HRIS, supporting compliance, audit requirements and informed decision-making
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by supporting people-related projects, sharing insights, and promoting consistent application of policies, procedures and EDI principle

Experience required:

  • Operational HR support in a generalist or case management role
  • Managing and advising on employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance matters
  • Supporting recruitment and selection processes, including shortlisting, scheduling and participating in interviews
  • Coaching and guiding managers to build confidence in people management
  • Applying employment law and HR policies in day-to-day operational situations
  • Using HR systems to maintain accurate records and produce reports
  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience)

Working hours:

  • 36 hours per week
  • Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm
  • Hybrid working (2 Days WFH)
