Following recent internal promotions, Trinity House are looking to appoint a new colleague to join the IT team in providing vital technology services to Trinity House.

This role is perfect for someone who:

- Has great demonstrable experience of first and second line IT support.
- Has a natural curiosity and enthusiasm for technology.
- Enjoys solving challenges and providing excellent customer-focussed support.
- Is looking for a varied role to work across a wide range of software, systems, and technologies.
- Can work using initiative and as part of a team.

This role is predominantly Harwich based and variable hybrid working may be available once all relevant familiarisation and training is complete. There is also a requirement to participate in a disturbed-hours shift roster (covering #removed# Monday to Friday) and one week in eight on-call. The role can attract overtime payments. Occasional, short-duration travel to our other UK sites may also be required.


Your experience, skills and qualifications to date will ideally include:
- A keen aptitude for IT and technology.
- Significant exposure to a technical IT environment.
- A high level of professional IT knowledge and experience.
- Experience working in an IT support environment (utilising service level agreements).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work to timescales.
- Five Level 2 qualifications including English and mathematics.
- Good awareness and understanding of cyber security threats, vulnerabilities and countermeasures.
- In depth knowledge and experience of working with Microsoft products including desktop, server, Azure/AD/Entra, M365.
- Professionally qualified to MCSE, MCIPT (or equivalent) with relevant demonstrable experience.
- ITIL foundation qualified (desirable).
- Qualified as a Prince2 Practitioner (desirable).
- Understanding of Cloud based and hosted technologies e.g. Saas, Iaas, PaaS.
- Knowledge of other IT technologies such as HTML, XML, PowerShell, scripting and AI (desirable).
