Part-Time Cover Supervisor / HLTA - Primary School (Woolwich)

Location: Woolwich, South East London
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Part-Time, Term-Time Only
Salary: £100 - £130 per day (dependent on experience)
Interview/Trial Dates: Week commencing 1st September 2025

Veritas Education is working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Woolwich, currently seeking an experienced Cover Supervisor or HLTA for a part-time role starting in September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident educator who is comfortable delivering pre-planned lessons and managing full classroom behaviour across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

Key Responsibilities:

Delivering set lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher
Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
Supporting pupils with their learning and keeping them on task
Providing a positive and engaging learning environment
Working closely with teaching staff and school leadershipThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, HLTA, or teaching assistant
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
The ability to lead learning in a confident and professional manner
A calm, adaptable, and proactive approach to working with children
A current DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)Important Information:

This position is not suitable for candidates on a 20-hour student visa due to longer hours being required on some weeks.
