Position Description Summary

A Review Manager’s responsibilities include review project management, project plan development, client coordination and communication, quality management execution and timely, satisfactory deliverables.  A Review Manager serves as the primary point of contact for both internal and client teams and is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of document review services on both a project and client level. A Review Manager also provides local leadership, contributes to operational initiatives and assists with client and account management activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees project setup to ensure successful planning, preparation and training; ensures clients/counsel are guided through the process
  • Plans, coordinates and leads review training and staffing with client/counsel; ensures effective training materials prepared
  • Responsible for driving execution of project plan; properly delegates project duties, assigning discreet responsibilities to individual team members to ensure alignment with the project plan 
  • Responsible for overseeing the development, implementation and refinement of an effective quality management strategy  
  • Ensures review team is adhering to working time commitments, daily time recording as well as other administrative review requirements and security protocols  
  • Responsible for providing primary review leadership for multiple projects simultaneously; provides leadership for complex or large scale review projects; provides client-level support across projects
  • Ensures proactive and effective communication/collaboration with the client team, outside counsel and other Consilio services teams to improve client experience and service delivery  
  • Manages project budget and ensures client/counsel is apprised of any changes in the budget as project progresses  
  • Proactively identifies and addresses issues impacting efficiency and profitability 
  • Ensures active cultivation of talent among review and quality management teams 
  • Ensures a positive and productive work culture among review teams and review centers  
  • Oversees multiple projects, Review Specialists and Review Managers; serves as a point of escalation both internally as well as externally with client/counsel  
  • Acts as a performance coach, trains and provides mentorship to Review Specialists and Review Managers  
  • Provides leadership within the review center; assists Directors and Senior Directors with team training, process implementation and compliance  
  • Takes initiative to contribute client services level support and provide input in key strategic areas for development across document review services  
  • Seeks opportunities to gain additional experience and knowledge of industry developments including working knowledge of all Consilio services  

Job Qualifications                                                                                                                           

  • Qualified to practice law in an EU Member State  
  • At least 1 year of experience in private practice  
  • 3+ years of eDiscovery experience and providing primary leadership to managed document review projects
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Technical proficiency and working knowledge of review tools, especially Relativity
