We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team in Old Basford, working closely with an SEN student to facilitate their learning journey.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the identified SEN student to provide personalised support tailored to their specific needs and abilities.
Implement and adapt educational plans and strategies to promote the student's academic, social, and emotional development.
Assist the student in accessing the curriculum, ensuring they are fully engaged in their learning.
Provide positive reinforcement, encouragement, and motivation to boost the student's self-esteem and confidence.
Support the student during classroom activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create a cohesive support network for the student.
Monitor and record the student's progress, behaviour, and achievements, reporting to relevant stakeholders as required.
Promote independent learning skills and life skills to enhance the student's overall development.
Requirements

Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, especially in a 1:1 capacity, is advantageous.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong rapport with students, fostering a positive learning relationship.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with the wider educational team and parents.
A strong sense of responsibility and the ability to always maintain confidentiality.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
