Skills Preferred: Experience with ServiceNow ITOM and CMDB Experience mapping services within a CMDB Understanding of OS Clustering Familiarity/experience with Windows and Unix virtualization Experience with system deployment and decommissioning Experience with OpsView/Nagios, SCOM, ITM Monitoring Experience designing workflows Understanding of network provisioning and automation Understanding of enterprise storage configurations and concepts Experience with load balancing and firewall technology concepts as it relates to application architecture Experience Required: Automation / Orchestration experience ServiceNow experience Windows, Unix, Linux OS experience scripting and/or coding experience Expert understanding of TCP/IP network protocols - SSH, HTTP Familiarity SAN and storage concepts Responsibilities: Define and implement efficient end-to-end provisioning Automation Serves as a subject matter expert for automation and orchestration Supports the existing automations scripts Identify the automation orchestration related opportunities throughout the organization Independently lead the design of automation solutions to include hardware platforms, services, and operation systems Conduct research and testing of new technologies to help solidify technical direction Work with internal as well as external resources to achieve project goals Work in a collaborative development environment, providing assistance & technical guidance to less experienced team members The successful candidate Will become a member of the Automation Services group within the Information Technology department. Must be able to lead and develop automation solutions and provide self service capabilities in order to create efficiencies and simply IT. Will work with IT architecture, development and support groups, operations, and business partners to establish standards, best practices, and IT infrastructure automation solutions. Will be responsible for designing, creating, maintaining and continually improving orchestrated workflows to automate IT processes throughout the enterprise. Will work closely with middleware, database and compute, security, network operations, data center and application development teams to create automation solutions. Must be well rounded, possessing maturity, vision, and a depth of experience that allows one to grasp issues quickly and make educated, critical judgments / decisions in the absence of complete information. Must possess the ability to work with a diverse, high performance team. Will be expected to interface with ITO administrators, customers, business partners, third-party vendors, internal IT application programmers, and internal business contacts for both new development and problem determination/resolution; assist in designing, implementing, and supporting the IT environment as required for installed and proposed systems; act as a resource as needed to provide management with business impact information necessary to make decisions; assure the highest levels of stability, integrity, reliability, security, and availability of the IT Operations environment. Will adhere to the established change control policies and prescribed procedures. Will produce documentation and procedures regarding the proper use and operation of the corporate infrastructure; correct reported problems with software and communication interfaces under his/her responsibility; utilize a problem management tool to track open tickets and follow up to resolution and closure; and execute special projects or other related duties as required. Will be expected to have excellent interpersonal skills for the purposes of requirements gathering and coordination with other technical teams, business partners, and third party vendors.
