## Responsibilities:

**Your Oral Maxillofacial Surgery Career at Community - Opportunity. Challenge. Growth.**


From performing basic tooth extractions to treating trauma and head and neck cancer/malignancies -- we deliver the excellent care our patients need. RNs at our Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery outpatient clinic have the skills necessary to lead and care for the well-being of our community.


We are looking for skilled nurses to take on challenging work with a specialized team in 8-hour shifts. Our outpatient clinic sees a lot of adolescents ranging from young children to teens-- this is the biggest age group for sedations. Your role here would include monitoring the patient throughout the sedation and recovery process for all in-office oral surgery procedures.


**In addition, some of your key responsibilities would include but are not limited to:**


* Collecting and prioritizing data in a systemic and ongoing process, based on the patient's immediate or anticipated needs.


* Applying appropriate nursing interventions, such as identifying and clarifying patient needs, performing procedures, conducting health education, promoting patient advocacy, evaluating patient outcomes.


* Facilitating the continuity of care for the patient.


* Using appropriate evidence-based assessment techniques in collecting and analyzing data.


* Managing Initial discharges and patient assessments

## Qualifications:

**Necessary skills for this role include:**


* Proactive decision-making skills


* Extreme service focus and willingness to be helpful


* A kind and self-motivating attitude


* Excellent communication & problem solving skills


* Desire to work closely with skilled residents and other team members


**Experience and education minimum requirements:**


* Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program


* Consistent demonstration of novice/advanced beginner clinical nursing practice proficiency.

**Preferred:**



* Bachelors of Science (BS) in nursing.


**License and certification minimum requirements:**


* Current RN license for the state of California


* Current BLS certification


*Certifications needed within 6 months of hire or transfer into the position:*



* Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification


* Fetal monitoring certification


* Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification


**Preferred:**


* Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
