Role Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Oversee and develop staff and volunteers, setting achievable objectives aligned with organisational goals.
- Service Delivery: Support the Coastal Housing Manager in day-to-day operations, including rent collection, maintenance reporting, and health and safety checks.
- Client Care: Ensure person-centred support and care plans are established and maintained, addressing safeguarding situations as needed.
- Partnership Building: Establish and maintain positive relationships with service users and partner organisations.
- On-Call Support: Provide out-of-hours on-call support on a rota basis, ensuring continuous service delivery.
Skills and Experience:
- Essential:
- Proven experience in managing supported housing services.
- Expertise in working with individuals with severe mental health issues, including dual diagnosis.
- Strong knowledge of legislative and practice issues related to mental health, housing management, and welfare benefits.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively and handle conflict positively.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Up-to-date knowledge of adult safeguarding issues and the voluntary or charity care sector.
- Desirable:
- Project management experience.
- H&SC Level 4 or 5 qualification or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Suffolk Mind's ENR model.
Emotional Effort:

- Offer emotional support during times of difficulty or stress.
- Conduct debriefs and support sessions for the team, ensuring a resilient and robust workforce.
