Learning Support Assistant – Mainstream School (Primary & Secondary)

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people in their education?We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream school located just outside Stowmarket. You’ll be working across both primary and secondary age groups, helping students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

About the Role

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with varying needs.
• Assist teachers in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Support students with their learning, communication, and classroom engagement.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff.

What We’re Looking For

• SEN experience is preferred but not essential – the school values the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
• An Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service is preferred (or willingness to obtain one).
• A friendly, patient, and proactive approach.
• Someone reliable, supportive, and passionate about helping young people succeed.

Travel Requirements

The school is not accessible via public transport, so you must be a driver or able to reach the school by alternative means.
