Position: Learning Support Assistant
School: Mainstream Secondary School, Greenwich
Start Date: September 2023
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term (until the end of the academic year)
Pay Range: £80.00 - £100.00 per day (dependent on experience)

Requirements:

Previous child-based experience
DBS on the update service
A positive and patient attitude towards supporting students with diverse needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, teachers, and parents/guardians
A genuine passion for education and a commitment to helping students reach their full potential
Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative teamResponsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with learning challenges, ensuring they can fully participate in all aspects of school life
Assist the class teacher in creating and implementing engaging lesson plans, tailored to the needs of individual students
Support students in their academic progress, providing guidance with assignments, homework, and exam preparation
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting student well-being and personal development
Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop strategies for student progress and achievement
Utilise your previous child-based experience to empathise and connect with students, building strong and supportive relationships
