We are a UL508A Controls shop manufacturing Motor Control and Logic Panels for entertainment automation systems.
We are seeking an experienced PLC programmer with experience building and designing logic based industrial automated systems.
Design and program PLC controls for AC gear motors and VFDs (Allen Bradley and Automation Direct experience a plus) for Motion Systems
Read and interpret Contract Documents (drawings and specifications) to design the system (system I/O, various interlocks, etc)
Work alongside the Controls Manager to produce and wire high and low voltage Logic Panels
Travel to and commission systems (installation is provided by licensed electricians). Troubleshoot issues in the field. Travel up to 20% may be required.
Order parts and various components.
Track project progress and ensure that they are completed within schedule.
Minimum 2 year degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electronics, Stage Automation, or significant work experience
Minimum 3 years’ experience performing the above duties
Proficient at reading and interpreting electrical schematics (AutoCAD skills a plus, but training may be available for exemplary candidates)
Working knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical panels. UL508A specific training will be provided.
Problem solver and a "can do" attitude
Experience with the following equipment is a plus: gearmotors, electromagnetic brakes, optical encoders, rotary and hard struck limit switches, safety edges/astragal tape, and other I/O
Theatrical experience related to hoists & controls, rigging, and automation is a plus
Experience with the following products/manufacturers a plus: SEW Eurodrive, Nord, Siemens, Alan Bradley PLC’s and Motion Control systems, Automation Direct PLCs and Motion Control systems.
We are transitioning to Beckhoff IPC technology. Experience with Beckhoff equipment is a huge plus. Otherwise, training will be provided.
Must be fluent (reading+writing) in English. Fluency in Spanish or Vietnamese is a plus.
Some hands on/shop experience (cutting, drilling, hand tools, etc) is a plus.
Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, lift objects weighing 50+ lbs, and perform other strenuous tasks.
Must live in or be willing to relocate to Las Vegas, NV. Relocation assistance will may be provided for exemplary candidates.
