Assistant Accountant

Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting a new role of Assistant Accountant for a well known, reputable organisation based in Leeds City Centre. This newly created role offers the chance for the successful candidate to progress and develop their career working within a business that has a track record of promoting from within.

The Role

Reporting into the Finance Controller, the Assistant Accountant will have a wide remit of responsibilities ranging from budgeting & reforecasting, through to assisting with the production of monthly management accounts and business partnering with the Senior Leadership Team.

Duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Accountant will include:

• Preparation of Accrual and Prepayments
• Maintaining Fixed Asset register
• Assisting with year end Financial Accounts preparation and Audit
• Assisting with adhoc reports and completing financial analysis when required
• Reviewing financial records and correcting inconsistencies and coding errors

The Candidate

To be considered for the role we welcome applications from candidates with the following:

• Previous experience of working within a varied accounts role
• AAT Level 4 Qualified
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong communicator and influencer
• Advanced excel skills (V-look ups, pivot tables)

Salary & Benefits

In return, the successful Assistant Accountant will receive the following:

• £30,000 - £33,000 base salary
