📅 Duration: 12 Months
💰 Rate: £26 per hour (Inside IR35)
Global Manufacturing Engineering (GME) plays a critical role in bringing high-quality automotive products to market. From process design to commissioning and quality maturation, GME ensures that every product meets world-class standards.
The Dimensional Systems team is responsible for all aspects of Dimensional Quality, including Dimensional Variation Analysis (DVA), Measurement and Metrology strategy, and quality maturation during launch.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely operate departmental metrology hardware and software.
* Create and execute detailed measurement programs.
* Deliver measurement data in formats such as PDF, Excel, and STL.
* Investigate and resolve part measurement issues.
* Support machine verification and preventative maintenance.
* Follow measurement instructions to meet high standards and deadlines.
* Comply with all Health & Safety requirements.
* Perform additional tasks as directed by your line manager.
Key Skills & Experience
* Strong mobile inspection skills with a solid understanding of measurement principles and alignments.
* Ability to produce high-quality inspection reports.
* Experience working with BIW (Body in White) and T&F (Trim & Final) parts and assemblies.
* Proficient in GOM and Polyworks software or similar.
* Skilled in using GOM systems, articulated arms, laser trackers, and Creaform systems.
* Solid knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
* Ability to develop and improve processes to enhance departmental performance.
* Willingness and flexibility to travel across multiple sites as required.
* Excellent communication and IT skills.
* Full UK driving license is essential.
