Salary: £75,000 - £800,000 per annum

A listed business based in Central London is looking for a Group Reporting Manager to join their high performing team.

Measures of Success:


· Timely and accurate delivery of the internal and external accounts


· Seen as a key part of the finance team


· Ability to deal with ad hoc financial accounting queries


· Communicating articulately with senior management


· Good relationship with local accounting teams and external auditors

Key Areas of Responsibility:


· Preparation of annual and half-yearly statutory consolidated group financial statements under IFRS, key contact point for external auditors. Also including liaison with other departments such as tax, treasury, company secretariat, and business unit heads


· Preparation of head office stand-alone financial statements under FRS101


· Preparation of consolidated group cashflow


· Review and challenge of working capital and related provisions


· Monitoring and analysing variances in group performance against budget


· Preparation of accounting entries for incentive plans (including share -based payments)


· Preparation of group annual impairment review


· Assistance in the preparation and analysis of group monthly management accounts


· Preparing high quality papers including analysis and interpretation of accounting standards


· Providing clear and relevant recommendations to business stakeholders on accounting related queries


· Support of initiatives to standardise and strengthen financial control across the group including that to support UK Corporate Reform


· Assistance with acquisition and disposal accounting and intangible valuation work


· Assistance with group quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting process


· Ad hoc project work

Person specification and key skills:


· Qualified (ACA or equivalent)


· Previous experience with plc group accounts and consolidations


· Good technical accounting knowledge and previous IFRS experience is essential


· Knowledge of statutory reporting requirements


· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team player


· Excellent excel skills and previous experience of group reporting packages


· Ability to work under pressure during key times


· Good project management skills
