Are you an experienced FMCG Senior National Account Manager, who has been trained by a major multinational and now wants to break off the corporate shackles and show what you can really do in an unlimited environment?

The ideal Senior National Account Manager will become a key member of the management team, helping to set and deliver an industry-leading sales strategy taking full departmental PL responsibility and leading a small, successful internal sales team. Determined and persuasive the successful Senior National Account Manager will have the tenacity and determination to create and convert new business opportunities whilst ensuring existing accounts are managed successfully.

Key Responsibilities:

* Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers to generate new business; nurturing and growing the revenue spend of all key accounts.

* Own the sales function whilst leading and managing a growing, successful sales team

* Act as a key member of the management team reporting to board level

* Deliver individual and team sales and profit targets, with full PL ownership and budget management

* Assume full responsibility for the management of our largest Grocery Pet Specialist accounts, totalling +55% of business revenue including Pets at Home, Sainsbury's and Waitrose.

* Identify opportunities for growth and increased profitability across all channels

Skills and experience:

* Minimum of 5 years' experience in an FMCG national account management role with a proven track record of delivering against growth targets.

* Energy, passion and enthusiasm with a drive to achieve targets in all areas

* Highly numerate preferably with experience of managing a PL top to bottom

* A great negotiator with experience of negotiating JBPs with multiple retailers

* Previous sales team management

* In-depth understanding of reporting and analysing sales data to help inform business decisions

* Comfortable working both autonomously and in a team, and are not afraid to challenge the status quo
