Opportunity for KS5 Teaching: Your timetable will include teaching at Key Stage 5 (A-Level) in your specific science specialism (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics), guiding students to achieve their full potential at this advanced level.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Teacher of Science, you will:

*

Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and differentiated Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE).

*

Deliver high-quality Key Stage 5 (A-Level) teaching in your science specialism (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics), inspiring students to achieve academic excellence and prepare for higher education.

*

Inspire students to develop a strong understanding and passion for scientific principles, methodologies, and their real-world applications.

*

Utilise a variety of effective teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, fostering an inquiry-based and student-centred approach.

*

Assess student progress regularly, providing timely, constructive feedback and contributing to comprehensive student reports.

*

Contribute actively to the ongoing development of the Science curriculum and departmental resources, ensuring they remain current and engaging.

*

Participate in and, where appropriate, lead extracurricular science activities, enriching the learning experience for all students.

*

Act as a form tutor, providing pastoral care and contributing positively to the wider life and ethos of the school community.

What We're Looking For

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong academic background in a Science discipline (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics) at degree level or equivalent.

*

Proven experience teaching Science successfully across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 is essential.

*

Demonstrable experience teaching your science specialism effectively at Key Stage 5 (A-Level) is crucial.

*

A genuine passion for science and a profound commitment to inspiring the next generation of scientists and critical thinkers.

*

Excellent subject knowledge across the science curriculum, with the ability to teach all three sciences at Key Stage 3 and GCSE, and your specialism confidently at Key Stage 5.

A dynamic, adaptable, and innovative teaching style that fosters a love of learning.

*

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, inclusive, and productive learning environment.

*

A collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, eager to contribute to a thriving department and school community.
