Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

A newly created Payroll Specialist position is available with my Poole based client.

They can be flexible on hours; and will consider either Full Time or Part Time.

As this is dealing with weekly payroll working Monday to Wednesday is a must, but we can adjust the hours they are working to suit.

Part-time – 3 days: Monday to Wednesday

Part-time – 4 days: Monday to Thursday and if required reduced hours

Part-time – 5 days: reduced hours

Working hours (fulltime):

08:30 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:30 – 16:00 Friday with an hour lunch

Salary: £30-35k DOE and based on full time hours of 36.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Running end-to-end payroll for salaried and hourly employees across multiple sites, with monthly and weekly payrolls.
  • Accurately collating and processing timesheets including overtime
  • Processing and checking new starters, leavers, and payroll changes, ensuring compliance with audit controls
  • Managing end-to-end payroll processing for all employees
  • Maintaining accurate employee records, including tax codes, deductions, and pensions
  • Responding to payroll queries from employees
  • Ensuring compliance with HMRC submissions (FPS, EPS), producing P60s and P45s.
  • Processing statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, and pensions
  • Preparing payroll journals and assisting with the preparation of year-end
  • Submitting P11D and P11D(b) at year-end.
  • Participating in payroll system upgrades and validating data between systems
  • Improving payroll systems and procedures to enhance efficiency.
  • Coordinating with HR and Finance departments to ensure payroll accuracy
  • Assisting with ad-hoc payroll and finance related tasks and projects

Experience

  • Proficient in payroll processing
  • Solid understanding of payroll legislation and compliance.
  • Strong Excel skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Professional, approachable, and able to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Knowledge of payroll-related laws and directives
