Hyperion Partners is working exclusively with a prestigious London-based managing agent renowned for overseeing some of the capital's most iconic and luxurious apartment developments. We are seeking an experienced Leasehold Service Charge Accountant to take full responsibility for the preparation, management, and reconciliation of service charge accounts for a high-end residential portfolio.

This is a key position where your technical accuracy and understanding of leasehold financial requirements will directly impact the smooth running and premium service delivery expected by residents and freeholders.

The Role

In this role, you will:

* Prepare, produce, and finalise annual service charge budgets in accordance with lease terms and industry regulations.

* Reconcile expenditure against budgets throughout the financial year, providing variance reports and strategic recommendations.

* Manage year-end service charge accounts — including audit packs, resident statements, and statutory documentation.

* Liaise closely with property managers, facilities teams, surveyors, and external auditors to ensure all financial processes are transparent and compliant.

* Analyse expenditure trends and provide forecasting insight to support operational and capital works planning.

* Ensure full compliance with Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, ARMA/ RICS Service Charge Residential Management Code, and all relevant statutory obligations.

* Build strong working relationships with leaseholders, resident management companies, and freeholders, ensuring financial matters are explained clearly and accurately.

About You

* Significant experience in service charge accountancy within a managing agent or property management environment.

* Strong understanding of lease interpretation and the financial clauses within long leases.

* Proven ability to prepare and reconcile complex multi-block and mixed-use budgets.

* Proficiency with property management accounting software (e.g., Qube, TRAMPS, MRI) and advanced Excel.

* Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to work to tight deadlines without compromising accuracy.

* Confident communicator able to interact effectively with internal teams, clients, and residents
