Reed have partnered with a Global Engineering business in Mountain Ash who are going through an exciting amount of growth.
Looking for a skilled and motivated individual to enhance the Machine Shop team. This is an opportunity for an experienced CNC Setter to hit the ground running and is ideal for someone with a strong background in precision engineering, ready to contribute to our innovative solutions across various highly regulated sectors.
Responsibilties: - Set and operate CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines, ensuring all products meet technical specifications.
- Interpret technical drawings and work instructions to guarantee precise machining.
- Select and install the appropriate tools and fixtures for each job.
- Conduct quality checks and first-off inspections to ensure each product conforms to required standards.
- Adjust machine settings for optimal efficiency and accuracy, maintaining high productivity.
- Monitor equipment performance, addressing and reporting any issues proactively to avoid downtime.
- Uphold a clean and safe working environment, adhering to HSE standards at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications: - Proven experience as a CNC Setter within a precision engineering environment.
- In-depth knowledge of machining processes and tool selection.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Experience in programming CNC machines using Fanuc and Num controls; familiarity with Mazatrol is a plus.
