Are you passionate about making a real difference in young peoples lives? We are looking for a dedicated, patient and proactive Behaviour Support Mentor to join our pastoral team at a thriving secondary school in Tendring. This is a vital role supporting students to overcome barriers, improve behaviour, and succeed both academically and socially.

About the Role As a Behaviour Support worker, you will:
· Work closely with students who require additional behavioural, emotional or social support
· Build positive, trusting relationships to help pupils make better choices
· Provide 1:1 and small group mentoring sessions
· Support the development and delivery of behaviour improvement strategies
· Assist in managing behaviour incidents, restorative conversations and reintegration plans
· Liaise with teaching staff, pastoral teams and external agencies where appropriate
· Help maintain a calm, safe and inclusive school environment

About You Were looking for someone who is:
· Calm, empathetic and confident when dealing with challenging situations
· Able to build strong relationships with young people
· Skilled in de-escalation, communication and positive behaviour management
· Resilient, proactive and committed to supporting the schools behaviour ethos
· Experienced in working with children or young people (school experience preferred but not essential)
