Science Teacher (Teacher in Charge of KS4 Science)

Location: Hackney

A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a highly skilled and dedicated Science Teacher to take on the role of Teacher in Charge (TiC) of Key Stage 4 Science at a progressive secondary school in Hackney. This is a pivotal role for an educator passionate about guiding students through their GCSE Science journey, ensuring strong foundations in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. The successful candidate will lead a team of passionate educators to deliver an outstanding and engaging curriculum at this crucial stage.

The Role

The Science Teacher (TiC of Key Stage 4 Science) will:

* Deliver engaging and challenging Science lessons across Key Stages 3-5, with a leadership focus on Key Stage 4.

* Oversee the planning, resourcing, and assessment of the Key Stage 4 Science curriculum (Trilogy and Triple Science).

* Monitor student progress and implement targeted interventions for GCSE Science cohorts.

* Coach and support other Science teachers, particularly those teaching Key Stage 4.

* Collaborate with the Head of Science on departmental strategy and school-wide initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a qualified Science Teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) who:

* Possesses excellent subject knowledge across the Science disciplines and a strong understanding of GCSE specifications.

* Has a proven track record of securing excellent student outcomes at Key Stage 4.
