We're looking for someone special to support an amazing individual who lives in their own home in Exeter. This person has a unique personality, and a passion for life - they enjoy using social media, going on shopping trips, spending time with family, listening to music and going on adventures in the local area . To help them make the most of their interests, we're seeking someone who knows Exeter well, that can drive their car, and holds a full UK driving licence.

As their supporter, you'll play a vital role in helping them live the life they want. You'll need to be empathetic, understanding, and creative in your approach, with a focus on enriching their experiences and making a real difference to their life. If you have previous experience in a similar role and are passionate about person-centered care, we'd love to hear from you.

What will your shift involve?

In this role, you will be providing high-quality care on a 2:1 basis that can also be 1:1 at times, ensuring that the individual you support receives compassionate and attentive care tailored to their specific needs. Your responsibilities will include engaging with them in meaningful activities and taking them out in the community to promote their social interaction and well-being. Additionally, you will support with household tasks to maintain a clean and organized living environment that fosters comfort and independence. Clear and confident communication in their preferred manner will be essential to building a strong and trusting relationship.

This role sits within our LD&A family, and you will be supported by an experienced hands-on Team Leader.

We work together in a wide variety of locations to support adults and children with complex care needs, and a range of both physical and mental disabilities. We are person-centred and the needs of the people we support are at the heart of everything we do. Our teams are passionate about working in close partnership with the people we support to provide outstanding, tailored care that promotes empowerment, and do everything possible to help our clients to access new experiences.
