Elevation IT are looking for a proactive 1st/2nd Line IT Technician to join our client a fast-paced manufacturing business in Bradford. As a 1st/2nd Line IT Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining IT systems across the manufacturing site. You will provide day-to-day support to end users, assist with infrastructure and application support, and contribute to wider digitalisation and automation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Support user onboarding by creating accounts, setting up devices, and ensuring smooth access to systems.
  • Assist with installation and updates of software and business applications.
  • Help maintain IT documentation, including logging incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system.
  • Monitor and manage IT inventory, tracking devices and equipment assignments.
  • Support SAP Key Users by coordinating and communicating ongoing IT/business demands.
  • Contribute to improving and automating processes in the manufacturing environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to support projects and digital initiatives.

We are keen to speak with IT Professionals who possess:  

  • Proven experience in a 1st or 2nd line IT support role, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Solid understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and basic networking.
  • Experience supporting users with hardware, software and systems troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to learn and support business applications (SAP knowledge a plus).
  • Organised, proactive and capable of working independently and in a team.
