Production Engineer

Salary: £35,000-£38,000 (DOE)

A long-established, UK-based engineering manufacturer is seeking a Production Engineer to join its growing team. Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing, this role supports CNC programming, process improvement, and production efficiency across the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities:

Create CNC programs using Hypermill CAD/CAM

Optimise tooling with input from machinists and suppliers

Design jigs and fixtures to improve manufacturing flow

Review and enhance component routings and production methods

Support training, including machine setup and apprentice development

Evaluate and manage subcontractors from a machining and quality perspective

Contribute to layout planning, maintenance, and risk assessments

Support Continuous Improvement and Lean projects

Provide machine cover when required

Liaise across departments and with external suppliers

Familiar with ISO9001:2015 requirements

£35,000-£38,000 salary
