Our local authority client are looking for a EHCP Co-ordinator.
They need someone who can Coordinate assessments and casework across the SEND Service, ensuring that casework is legally compliant whilst remaining child centred, pro-active and responsive to the needs of children and young people and paying due regard to the views of parents.
Be the primary point of contact for the parents/carers of children and for young people, across the 0 – 25 age range, who have a Statement of SEN, who are undergoing an Education, Health and Care (EHC) Needs Assessment or who have an Education, Health and Care plan, who are resident in or Looked After by the Client.
Coordinate and actively support a person centred, outcome focused multi agency approach to assessment, planning and support, ensuring that children, young people and parents are treated as equal partners in the assessment and planning process.
Attend meetings and panels concerning children and young people at schools and other settings and ensure the statutory processes for supporting those children and young people to make progress towards achieving their agreed outcomes are efficient and effective.
Understand and respect the rights of young people with SEND and ensure their meaningful participation in their own Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plans and within the wider community.
